I keep all my gift bags and re-use them when I can. This bag was perfect for a 'Mum to be'..
My colleague was delighted with the blanket when I gave it to her before school this morning. She wants me to make some more bedding when the baby arrives. I'm really pleased with the end result, given that I've only been able to crochet for 4 1/2 weeks!
Quite an achievement - well done it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat an accomplishment! The colors are perfect...it only took you a few weeks???

Fabulous - she must have been thrilled. Isn't crochet wonderful .... I only discovered it this year too. Book give-away on my page coming up soon full of gorgeous things to crochet. When my own were little I made quilts and sheets out of bunny material which was really gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely , and how wonderful that your colleague loves it so much she wants you to make her some more things. I made cot bedding for the girls when they were little- though I never did learn to crochet!
ReplyDeleteYour choice of colours really works for me, it is lovely so no wonder she was pleased with it. Did you do this one in the car? I haven't crocheted for years - but reading your posts I have been motivated enough to dig out the hooks and some yarn - now I need to find the time.
ReplyDeletethe blanket is lovely, crochet is addictive, you wont want to stop now. I'm on my third blanket, only started in the new year x
ReplyDeleteIt is fantastic and what a precious gift x
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful, no wonder your colleague was thrilled. I love the colours too, as you say, it will work for a boy or a girl. It looks as though your Ted has been modelling for the gift bag.
